So with that being said, I made a plan to make UCLA work out for me and my financial situation. On top of that, since I can use more AP credits at UCLA, I am on track right now to graduate in 3 years (if I take advantage of summer classes and stuff), which would help reduce the cost a bit. Now as for why I choose UCLA, it's because I just loved how I could bypass Entry-level English/Writing 1 with my AP credits (at UW I can't), the campus, all the people I talked to, and my major (at UCLA I choose chemistry). I know that sounds a bit extreme, but its the truth.

My closest friends, though, know me quite well and pointed out the fact that I would probably not forgive myself if I went to UW. I talked to so many of my friends and college students about it, and I found myself getting super hurt and a bit mad when people told me to go to UW just because of the cost. I got direct admit to my major at both, which complicated things even more, but in the end I chose UCLA.Īlthough UW is half the cost and I am super interested in neuroscience (my major at UW), I've been wanting to leave Washington for so long and just cannot see myself being happy with myself if I went to UW.

I narrowed down my choices to two schools: UW (in-state) vs. I don't know if you already decided or not and honestly idk if my insight is the wisest or best, but I saw you asked in an earlier comment if anyone was in a similar situation-I am (or was).
